Ducky was correct.
An established relationship story.
Written: November 2007. Word count: 100.
Two things awaken me:
Daylight streaming through my window.
And his touch.
His voice.
His scent.
He is here.
He is in my room.
Pale.
Thin.
Drawn.
Shattered.
But he is here.
I do not ask how, why, what, when.
And he does not tell me.
None of that matters.
Not yet. Not now.
All that matters is he is returned to me.
He gathers me into his arms and holds me.
Holds me as the tears I could not shed before finally fall.
Holds me and tells me he loves me.
Holds me as daylight blazes into the room.
