"Jethro!" Ducky's voice carried across the squad room.

About to follow McGee, DiNozzo and Barrett into the elevator, Gibbs stopped and turned around to see Ducky hurrying towards him. "I'm kind of busy, Duck," he said, keeping the slight irritation he felt from showing in his voice.

"Yes, I know you are, Jethro. However, there is something important I have to tell you. It will only take a moment." Ducky spoke placidly, but firmly. It was clear he expected Gibbs to listen to him.

For a split second Gibbs hesitated and considered telling Ducky he'd catch him later. However, the look on Ducky's face was his steely determination look. He tugged the car keys from his pocket and tossed them to McGee. "Get the car. I'll meet you out front." As the elevator doors closed on the three agents, he thought he saw a look of apprehension pass over Barrett's face, but he couldn't be sure.

He turned his attention back to Ducky. "What is it, Duck?"

"I have just finished Agent Levin's autopsy and I am afraid I found an anomaly." Before Gibbs could ask what Ducky what the hell he was talking about, Ducky continued to speak. "A small cut on his arm. A cut that was made after death - some time after death." When he wanted to, Ducky could be concise.

"You sure?"

Ducky nodded. "Perfectly certain. Jethro, only one person, apart from you, Mr. Palmer and I saw Agent Levin's body, and the same one person was alone with the body."

For a moment Gibbs was torn. But then he reminded himself: Levin was dead; he could do nothing for him. Ziva was still alive, at least he hoped she was, he could do something for her. "It'll have to wait until later, Duck," he said. "I have to -"

"Go and find, Ziva. Yes, I know, Jethro. Do take care."

Gibbs gave him a half-grin. "Always do, Duck." He pushed the elevator button and the doors opened instantly. About to step inside, he paused, his hand keeping the doors apart. "Duck?"

"My dear."

"Until we've caught the bastard, I don't want you leaving the building, okay?"

"But, Jethro, I am certain he is not . . ." Ducky trailed off as Gibbs just glared at him. "Yes, Jethro," he said, his tone mild. "I will remain within the building."

"Good. And you and Palmer stay together, okay?"

Ducky smiled. "Yes, Jethro," he said simply, his tone obedient.

"And if we don't get Cobb today, I'm coming home with you tonight."

"Only if you don't arrest Cobb?"

Gibbs flashed Ducky another half-grin and strode into the elevator. "Don't forget," he said, as the doors begin to close. "Stay -"

"In the building. Yes, Jethro."

The doors closed and Gibbs pulled out his Sig and double checked it. First they'd rescue Ziva. Second they'd get Cobb. And third, and third he'd decide how he was going to deal with EJ Barrett. The SecNav's niece or not, she would answer for her actions.
