IT IS RAINING

Ducky doesn't like the rain.
An established relationship story.
Written: November 2007. Word count: 100.
It is raining.
They stand without noticing it.
"He wouldn't have known anything, Ducky. It was too quick."
"I know." Ducky does know. But it doesn't help. Nothing can.
He touches Jethro's cheek. It is wet.
He turns and walks away.
He knows it will never cease to rain.
He lets his tears begin to fall.
"Duck? Duck, what is it?" Jethro gathers him into his arms and holds him.
"Jethro?"
He touches Jethro's cheek. It is dry.
He lets himself be held. Held tightly.
He looks over Jethro's shoulder. Looks out into the early morning light.
It is raining.
