MY FAVORITE TIME OF DAY

Evening is Ducky's favorite time of the day.
An established relationship story.
Written: November 2007. Word count: 100.
Evening is my favorite time of the day, because it is when I finally have Jethro all to myself.
The day is behind us; cases are forgotten; the children are not clamoring for attention; no one is threatening us.
But most importantly: Jethro can allow his façade to drop.
He is not the cold, detached, uncaring, arrogant, irritable bastard he appears to be.
At least he is not with me.
With me he is warm, involved, caring, loving. Yes, he is still a little arrogant at times, a little irritable. But he is mine.
When evening comes, he is mine.
