Jethro has a nightmare
An established relationship story.

"No!" Shouting, Jethro awoke.
His breathing was loud, fast, heavy.
Frantically he looked around. Blinking as the sunrise infiltrated the curtains.
"Jethro?" A voice.
A hand, steady, warm, comforting, gentle, touched him.
Confused he looked down. "Duck?"
"Of course, dearest. Who were you expecting?"
"I . . . Must have been . . ."
"Dreaming?"
"Having a nightmare." Despite the warmth, Jethro shuddered. "It was Jenn. She'd just woken me up again. She . . ."
"Hush, dear. It's all right. Jennifer will never bother you again." Ducky smiled and tugged Jethro back into his arms.
With the sunlight touching him, Jethro sank back into sleep. Safe. Secure. Loved.
